Good Tips That Helped

Within the past 30 days, due to calls received by Killeen Crime Stoppers local authorities have arrested two fugitives. In November a caller notified Killeen Crime Stoppers informing of the whereabouts of Albert "Red" Williams. The Department of Corrections in Kansas wanted Williams, who had assumed the name of Richard Lee Dees, for a parole violation involving distribution of cocaine. Williams was also wanted by the Bell County Sheriffs Department. When Killeen Police officers confronted Williams he used his alias but was arrested due to the information received by the caller in this case. Williams is currently in the Bell County Jail pending a transfer back to Kansas where he will be turned over to the Department of Corrections. The caller in this case received $150 for the information provided. On December 4th a murder fugitive was arrested by Ft. Hood authorities just hours after a tip was called in reporting the whereabouts of this fugitive. The fugitive, Aurelio Carrasco Borjon, was awaiting sentencing in the January 1998 murder of Patrick Beavers when he jumped bond. Borjon’s family had posted the $100,000 bond guaranteeing his appearance for his scheduled court date. When military police went to the Fort Hood residence to apprehend Borjon, he fled out the backdoor in an attempt to escape capture but was arrested by military police placed there. Borjon was later transported to the Bell County Jail where he is being held on the murder charge along with bond jumping. The Killeen Crime Stopper Board in that case awarded the caller $500.
