MURDER OF 7 YEAR OLD GIRL

A 7-year-old girl, Danydia Betty-Jacqueline Thompson, was reported missing to the Killeen Police Department on April 30^th 1997 and kidnapping was immediately suspected. Eight days later on May 8^th volunteer searchers found human remains, that were later confirmed to be Danydia Thompson, on Hwy 195 just south of Killeen.  

Witnesses were able to provide a description of a suspect seen carrying Danydia away from the elementary school that she attended.  He was described as a black male, 25-26 years old, about 5’10" weighing 150 pounds. His hair was in a short Afro about 3" in length. He is dark complected, had a slender nose and a thick mustache that reached the corners of his mouth. He was wearing a black waist length jacket, black baggy jeans and light colored tennis shoes.

Killeen Crime Stoppers is offering a $1000 reward for information leading to the arrest and grand jury indictment of the person responsible for this crime.
