KILLEEN POLICE DEPARTMENT- PUBLIC AFFAIRS UNIT
A 7-year-old girl, Danydia Betty-Jacqueline Thompson, was reported missing to the Killeen Police Department on April 30th 1997 and kidnapping was immediately suspected. Eight days later on May 8th volunteer searchers found human remains, that were later confirmed to be Danydia Thompson, on Hwy 195 just south of Killeen.

Witnesses were able to provide a description of a
suspect seen carrying Danydia away from the elementary school that she attended.
He was described as a black male, 25-26 years old, about 510"
weighing 150 pounds. His hair was in a short Afro about 3" in length. He is
dark complected, had a slender nose and a thick mustache that reached the
corners of his mouth. He was wearing a black waist length jacket, black baggy
jeans and light colored tennis shoes.
Killeen Crime Stoppers is offering a $1000 reward for information leading to the
arrest and grand jury indictment of the person responsible for this crime.
